One cannot step twice into the same stream.

According to the ancient Athenian philosophers Heraclitus & Cratylus a man cannot step twice into the same stream because at future attempts the river is not the same anymore...neither the man.
I hope you don't find it presumptuous from an IT Service Desk Officer (note, the capitals!) to juggle with ancient Athenian philosophers but despite the efforts of some individuals, the above mentioned proposition does not apply to me in my UNESCO-IHE career.
That means that I will return to a different IT Department (now the so called IT [Process Management] Support Unit) as a different man (fortunately under my same name).
I appreciate the efforts of the participant population to support a prolonged stay in Student Affairs.
Loyal to my convictions build up during those 10 years at IHE I will as always be open to help any of you in all possible ways wherever I stand or sit within the walls of the Institute and even in the wide outside world .
This posting was made due to a message all U.I got in their mailbox:
Guy Beaujot has returned to the IT helpdesk and we would like to
take this opportunity  to thank him for his contribution and dedication within
the Social Cultural Office over the past months.

  1. My dear Guy, only the time will say if the Greek pholosophers failed or not in the stream metaphor for your case. But what I'm sure is that human vocation never change, it doesn't matter which river we are passing. Your vocation to help and support others, and to express with art your desire to have a better humanity will be (fortunately) the same, always the same. Wish you the best! Benly

  3. My dear even if you don't have an "official" position in Student Affairs we all know who to turn when we need a nice friend with a good heart and a genuine intention of helping the others. You don't need a position my friend, you just need to be who you are, the person we all love :) and care about. Muchos besos, abrazos y cariño para ti desde este país del sur en el que siempre tendrás una amiga!

  5. Dear Guy,
Beyond IHE world, you have a position in our hearts with no title, contract or expiration date. It does not come from the administration office, neither belongs to a specific department. It only comes from the intentions of those who look at you as a friend and want to make you part of their affairs even after the history that every student writes at IHE ends.
I am glad that life always gives us the chance to be a different person, because it also means for us a continuous opportunity to change, evolve and transform along this endless way of the search for happiness.
I love you always and I will be glad to be part of your change if you wish so. Juliette
